Pi Token Gains Multiple Exchange Listings Ahead of Mainnet Launch

·

The Pi token from Open Network is securing increasing exchange listings in preparation for its official Mainnet launch.

This week, Pi Network announced its transition to the Open Network Mainnet phase, set to begin on February 20, 2025.

Pi Token: Exchanges Confirm Listings

Following Pi Network’s announcement, OKX confirmed plans to list Pi. Shortly after, Bitget followed suit by introducing the PI/USDT trading pair.

Details regarding deposit availability on Bitget remain undisclosed. Additionally, MEXC also announced the listing of the Pi token today. These listings signal exchanges' commitment to supporting the token’s integration.

Meanwhile, HTX (formerly Huobi) is taking a different approach. Just six days before Pi Network’s Mainnet launch, HTX announced the expiration of Pi IOU (I Owe You) trading.

On February 13, the exchange removed Pi from its listings and halted related trading services. Based on the suspension price of Pi, users will receive Tether (USDT) at an exchange rate of 1:61.28.

The suspension price refers to the last known price of Pi before trading was halted. After Mainnet launch, HTX plans to list the actual Pi token and open spot trading services.

These listings emerge as Bybit CEO Ben Zhou expressed strong skepticism about engaging with Pi Network. Analysts have also warned that listing Pi carries inherent risks.

It’s worth noting that Pi Network has faced criticism due to its user base, which primarily consists of less-experienced investors. Experts caution that these users may react unpredictably to market fluctuations, potentially increasing price volatility and sell-off panic.

Furthermore, its pyramid-like structure and multi-level marketing strategy have raised legal concerns.

Despite this, the market appeared bullish on the Pi token. Post-launch announcement, the price of Pi IOU surged to $71.20.

However, momentum has since slowed. At the time of writing, the Pi token is trading at $61.20**. According to BeInCrypto’s analysis, the expected price range for the coin at launch is between **$40.80 and $68.70.
